→ Soy Ginger Dipping Sauce

12 - 3 tbsp soy sauce
13 - 1 tbsp rice vinegar
14 - 1 tsp sesame oil
15 - 1 tsp honey or sugar
16 - 1 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
17 - 1 tsp green onion, finely sliced
18 - 0.5 tsp red chili flakes, optional

# How To Make It:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, shredded cabbage, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
02 - Place one dumpling wrapper in your palm. Spoon 1 heaping teaspoon of filling into the center of the wrapper.
03 - Moisten the edge of the wrapper with water using your fingertip. Fold and press the wrapper edges together to seal tightly, creating pleats as desired. Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
05 - Lightly brush or spray the dumplings with oil. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other.
06 - Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until golden and crispy on all sides.
07 - While dumplings cook, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, grated ginger, sliced green onion, and red chili flakes in a small bowl until combined.
08 - Transfer hot dumplings to a serving plate and serve immediately with soy ginger dipping sauce on the side.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They're ready in under 40 minutes from start to table, making them perfect for when guests arrive without warning.
  • The air fryer does the heavy lifting so your stovetop stays free and your clothes stay grease-free.
  • That soy ginger sauce is bright enough to make even store-bought wrappers taste like they came from a proper dumpling house.
02 -
  • Oil is essential for crispiness, but too much pools and fries instead of crisps, so a light spray or brush is all you need.
  • Flipping halfway isn't optional if you want even golden color and texture on every side.
03 -
  • Don't skip the oil spray; it's what separates crispy from chewy in the air fryer.
  • If your wrappers are drying out, cover them with a barely damp towel and work quickly so they stay pliable and don't tear when you fold.
